چکیده
Aaronson, I. (1971). Archives of Disease in Childhood, 46, 479. Secondary chloride-losing diarrhoea. Observations on stool electrolytes in infants after bowel surgery. Among 40 infants with postoperative diarrhoea, 3 were found to have a stool chloride concentration in excess of the sum of sodium and potassium ion concentrations. All 3 had had a recent episodof intestinal obstruction and had developed a sugar intolerance.

متن کاملChloride losing diarrhoea and metabolic alkalosis in an infant with cystic fibrosis.
A case of hypochloraemic metabolic alkalosis in an infant with chloride losing ileostomy drainage and cystic fibrosis is described. It is speculated that intestinal loss of chloride played a major role in the development of metabolic alkalosis.
متن کاملFaecal excretion of alpha-1-antitrypsin in acute diarrhoea.
High levels of faecal alpha-1-antitrypsin were found in children suffering from acute rotavirus diarrhoea and in children with diarrhoea in whom no microbial pathogen could be established. The results suggest that transient protein-losing enteropathy is common in acute childhood diarrhoea and may influence the outcome of the disease.
متن کاملCongenital chloride diarrhoea.
Congenital chloride diarrhoea is an autosomal recessive disease characterized by life-long watery diarrhoea of prenatal onset with high faecal Cl- concentration. Seventy-nine patients have so far been reported. The basic defect involves the active Cl-/HCO3- exchange mechanism of the distal ileum and colon. The defect causes impaired absorption of Cl-, acidity of intestinal contents because of i...
